COMMISSION OF ANIMAL CONTROL AND WELFARE

Notice is hereby given of the following vacancies and term expirations (in bold), appointed by the Board of Supervisors:

 

Seat 1, Annemarie Fortier, term expiring April 30, 2018, must be representing the general public and have interest and experience in animal matters, for a two-year term.

 

Seat 2, Nicolle “Bunny” Matthews Rosenberg, term expiring April 30, 2018, must be representing the general public and have interest and experience in animal matters, for a two-year term.

 

Seat 3, Rachel Frederick, term expiring April 30, 2019, must be representing the general public and have interest and experience in animal matters, for a two-year term.

 

Seat 4, Russell Tenofsky, term expiring April 30, 2019, must be representing the general public and have interest and experience in animal matters, for a two-year term.

 

Seat 5, Jane Tobin, term expiring April 30, 2019, must be representing the general public and have interest and experience in animal matters, for a two-year term.

 

Seat 6, Rachel Reis, term expiring April 30, 2019, must be representing the general public and have interest and experience in animal matters, for a two-year term.

 

Seat 7, Robin Hansen, term expiring April 30, 2018, must be a licensed veterinarian practicing in San Francisco, for a two-year term.

 

Additional Restrictions and Qualifications:  No two individuals on the Commission shall be representatives, employees or officers of the same group, association, corporation, organization, or City Department.  Each member shall be a resident of the City and County of San Francisco; except for the licensed veterinarian who must practice in San Francisco, but who need not be a resident of San Francisco.

Reports:  The Commission shall submit a quarterly written report of its activities to the Board of Supervisors, as stated in Health Code, Section 41.3.

Next Steps:  Applicants who meet minimum qualifications will be contacted by the Rules Committee Clerk once the Rules Committee Chair determines the date of the hearing.  Members of the Rules Committee will consider the appointment(s) at the meeting and applicant(s) may be asked to state their qualifications.  The appointment(s) of the individual(s) who are recommended by the Rules Committee will be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors for final approval.
