The proposed alteration would include major interior alterations and a new two-car tandem-parking garage in the basement of the existing structure. The project would provide the required 45% rear yard requirement, which is approximately 34'-9". The existing building on the project site was constructed around 1898 and is listed in HERE TODAY, and as such, is considered an historical resource under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The existing building is also listed in the 1976 Architectural Survey conducted by the San Francisco Planning Department. The 4,812-square foot site is located at 2506 Union Street (Lot 05, Assessor's Block 0945), 25 feet from the northwest corner of Union and Scott Streets in the Marina Neighborhood. The Board of Supervisors is the Legislative Body of the City and County of San Francisco. The Board considers ordinances and resolutions, most of which have been the subject of
hearings before the standing committees of the board at which members of the public are urged to testify. The full Board does not hold a second public hearing on measures which have been
heard in committee. Board procedures do not permit: 1) persons in the audience to vocally express support or opposition to statements by Supervisors or by other persons testifying; 2) ringing and use of cell phones, pagers and similar sound-producing electronic devices, (Violators may be removed from the meeting room.) 3) signs to be brought into the meeting or displayed in the room; and 4)standing in the Legislative Chamber.
