Requesting/Inquiring: Requesting that a thorough explanation as to the justification of how the Recreation and Parks Department repetitively refuses to take care of park operations (denying full-time and part-time gardeners and other maintenance staff) within District 5, but at a moments notice, will dispatch sizable crews (on a Sunday for overtime pay) to perform maintenance and gardening functions for visiting dignitaries whereas otherwise, these parks needs have remained unattended for much of the last year. A reply is expected in writing prior to our meeting – a meeting has been called with Recreation and Park Department Director and senior staff for November.

Can DPT inspect and assess the need to install a flashing crosswalk light or some other traffic calming measure at the intersection of Lake Merced Boulevard and Lake Merced Hill? This intersection represents a safety concern to neighbors in the area. There have been recent accidents involving pedestrians being struck by automobiles.
