Supervisor Leno introduced former Supervisor Harry Britt who in turn introduced members of a delegation of activists from the gay, lesbian, transgender community in Budapest Hungary. Douglas Conrad, local resident introduced the following persons:

Ferenc Rakias, founding member of Homeros, the first gay organization in Budapest;

Bea Sandor, Co-President of Hatter Support Services for Gays and Lesbians in Budapest and founder and editor of Labrisz, Hungary’s first Lesbian newsletter, who presented a copy to Supervisors Ammiano and Leno;

Tamas Halasz, representing founders and co-editors Laszlo Laner and Gabor Takacs of Masok, Hungary’s first and only gay mazagine, who presented a copy to Supervisors Ammiano and Leno;

Marti Kis, member of Hatter Support Services for Gays and Lesbians, and

Maria Takacs, board member of Labrisz Lesbian Association.
