Motion requesting the Legislative Analyst to draft a report describing efforts undertaken and being considered by the City to address the issue of loss of neighborhood theaters. Please complete a draft of this report for introduction and adoption by the Board of Supervisors by November 9, 2004. This report is required under state law to be completed by the Board of Supervisors ten (10) days prior to the expiration of any temporary moratorium imposed by the City, such as that recently passed by the Board of Supervisors as an Urgency Ordinance and signed by the Mayor on October 14, 2004. The report, therefore, must be adopted by November 19. In order for the Board to adopt the report on November 16, it must be introduced at a previous Board meeting, the closest one being November 2, 2004. Supervisor McGoldrick presented.
