070921 [Amendments to Minimum Compensation Ordinance]
Ordinance amending the San Francisco Administrative Code by amending Sections 12P.2, 12P.3, 12P.4, 12P.5, 12P.6, 12P.7 and 12P.8, and by adding Sections 12P.5.1, 12P.6.1 and 12P.6.2, to amend the Minimum Compensation Ordinance by making both substantive and clarifying changes with respect to: the obligations imposed on Contractors; notification, investigation, auditing, inspection, enforcement and settlement procedures; the withholding of contract payments; provisions relating to waivers; certain definitions, including the definition of Covered Employees; an increase in the hourly wage rate for all employees; the assessment of liquidated damages; and the process for determining whether a Contractor has violated the Ordinance and for the administrative appeal of such determinations. 070923 [Golden Gate Park Stables Fund; City Matching Funds]
Ordinance amending the San Francisco Administrative Code by adding Section 10.100-254, to establish a fund for donations to the Golden Gate Park Stables and to provide for a City match of $1.00 for every $3.00 donated to the fund, up to $1 million. 070924 [Development of Tidal Power]
Ordinance establishing that the City should continue to actively participate in the development of tidal power technology in order to maximize the benefits to the public, and that the City should own and control tidal power technology and development to the extent feasible, and establishing the requirement that any proposal for the development of tidal power that is subject to Board of Supervisors approval must provide for City ownership or control unless the proposal demonstrates that such ownership or control is not feasible or beneficial to the public in the long term. 070925 [Green Building Construction Requirements]
Ordinance amending the San Francisco Building Code by adding Chapter 13C to require new or added construction over 20,000 square feet to comply with the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold rating or an equivalent green building standard except for City projects, which are covered by Chapter 7 of the San Francisco Environment Code, to authorize the Director of Building Inspection to grant an exemption from some of the requirements on the grounds of hardship or infeasibility, to require the Director to grant an exemption if compliance would compromise the historical integrity of an historic structure, and to encourage projects not within the scope of the ordinance to incorporate as many green building standards into their construction as is feasible; adopting findings, including environmental findings and findings required by California Health & Safety Code Section 17958.5. Ordinance authorizing the Department of Human Resources to execute a contract with the San Francisco Health Plan to administer healthcare coverage to certain eligible temporary exempt as-needed City employees who are members of SEIU locals 535, 790 and UHW; and granting a waiver to the competitive procurement requirements of San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 21.
