090269 [Crimes against women in the City and County of San Francisco] Supervisors Alioto-Pier, Campos
Hearing on recent trends on crimes against women in the City and County of San Francisco. The hearing will explore recent trends, including statistical data, on crimes against women, such as rape, assault, domestic violence and any other crimes targeting women. The hearing will ask the San Francisco Police Department and the Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice to provide (1) an update on crime statistics as it applies to violence against women; 2) data and plans on the progress of crime fighting measures and any violence prevention programs as it related to women; 3) reports on the arrest, charged and prosecution of crimes against women; 4) any other information relevant to said subject; and (5) any plans to apply for funds mentioned in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 to combat violence against women.
