Resolution approving an amendment to the budget of the Redevelopment Agency of the City and County of San Francisco for fiscal year 2008-09 to reprogram $3,392,000 of funds budgeted for the Western Addition A2 Plan Area from the Muni Substation line item to the Western Addition A2 Revolving Loan Program line item in the amount of $2,492,000 to the Fillmore Jazz Preservation District Development Revolving Loan Program in the amount $500,000 and to a new Western Addition A2 property management line item in the amount of $400,000.

Ordinance amending the San Francisco Business and Tax Regulations Code to add Article 16-A to provide additional support for emergency health and human services and public protection to residents of the City and County of San Francisco by imposing a transactions (sales) and use tax at the rate of one-half of one percent (0.50%) for a period of three (3) years, to be administered by the State Board of Equalization in accordance with Parts 1.6 and 1.7 of Division 2 of the California Revenue and Taxation Code; adopting an expenditure plan; and directing submission of the tax for voter approval at the June 2, 2009 election.

090085 [Recreation and Park Department (RPD) plan to implement fees for activities] Supervisor Chu
Hearing to review the plan to begin charging residents for Recreation and Park Department (RPD) activities. In August of 2007, the Board of Supervisors approved a plan for RPD to begin charging fees for activities. How are these fees being implemented; does RPD have a system in place to collect these fees; how much money will be collected; will these fees offset layoffs or service cuts within the department; and what is the timeline for implementation. The hearing will also cover the badminton program, and why RPD is canceling sessions "due to lack of interest."
