| Hearing to review the plan to begin charging residents for Recreation and Park Department (RPD) activities. In August of 2007, the Board of Supervisors approved a plan for RPD to begin charging fees for activities. How are these fees being implemented; does RPD have a system in place to collect these fees; how much money will be collected; will these fees offset layoffs or service cuts within the department; and what is the timeline for implementation. The hearing will also cover the badminton program, and why RPD is canceling sessions "due to lack of interest." |
