The Board of Supervisors of the City and County of San Francisco met in regular session on the above
date with President Kevin Shelley presiding.

The meeting was called to order at 2:07 p.m. On call of the roll, the following Supervisors were

By Supervisor Teng, that letter be sent to all departments who provide
funding to community organizations/agencies requesting report on the
total grant allocations given to all non-profit organizations and the
percentage of grant allocations given to non-profit organizations
serving the Asian Pacific Islander communities.

By Supervisor Shelley, that City Attorney draft an ordinance requiring
the Recreation and Park Department and other city departments using
pesticides to reduce overall use of pesticides by 50 percent by the
year 1998; ban the use of the most toxic and hazardous pesticides;
establish a pre-notification and post-notification policy for the use
of pesticides; implement an integrated pest management policy and hire
an independent consultant to advise the departments in implementing
these policies.
