The Board of Supervisors of the City and County of San Francisco met in regular session on the above
date.


CALLING THE ROLL

In the absence of President Kevin Shelley, the meeting was called to order at 2:04 p.m. by the Clerk.
On call of the roll, the following Supervisors were noted present:

Motion that the Board of Supervisors convene in closed session with the
City Attorney for the purpose of reviewing the City's position on
whether the City should initiate litigation against Viacom and/or TCI
related to telecommunications franchise issues, as permitted by
Government Code Section 54956.9(c).

The Clerk stated the City Attorney has withdrawn the request for a
closed session.

Supervisor Ammiano, seconded by Supervisor Yaki, moved to table.

[Benefit Restrictions for Legal Immigrants and the Poor]
Resolution opposing the welfare reform bill that would preclude legal

House of Representatives and Senate to adopt the least restrictive
provisions of the welfare reform bill; and urging the President to
veto H.R. 3734 and all other bills restricting immigrants' access to

call on the President of Zimbabwe to disavow the homophobic policies
