15. 992233 [Payment of Services of Police Officers] Supervisors Kaufman, Newsom, Brown Ordinance amending Chapter 10B Section 10B.2 of the San Francisco Administrative Code to require a deposit for services of police officers hired pursuant to this provision and to require payment within 10 days of notification of final balance due, and to eliminate the administrative overhead fee. (Amends Section 10B.2.)

1/24/2000, CONTINUED ON FIRST READING. Supervisor Yee, seconded by Supervisor Bierman, moved to amend by including a ten percent administrative fee.

16. 991877 [Child Care Fee Ordinance, an alternative for satisfying the child-care requirement] Supervisors Bierman, Teng, Yaki, Becerril, Brown, Katz, Leno, Newsom Ordinance amending Planning Code Sections 314.1 and 314.4 to allow a developer to satisfy the child-care requirement by entering into an arrangement pursuant to which a nonprofit organization will provide a child-care facility at a site within the City. Planning Commission Resolution #14947 adopted January 6, 2000 recommending adoption of a revised version. Received Certificate of Exemption from environmental review dated December 23, 1999. Meeting Procedures
The Board of Supervisors is the Legislative Body of the City and County of San Francisco. The Board considers ordinances and resolutions, most of which have been the subject of hearings before the standing committees of the board at which members of the public are urged to testify. The full Board does not hold a second public hearing on measures which have been heard in committee.
Board procedures do not permit persons in the audience to vocally express support or opposition to statements by Supervisors or by other persons testifying. Thus applause and booing are both contrary to Board requirements. The Board does not permit signs to be brought into the meeting or displayed in the room.
Citizens are encouraged to testify at Board hearings and to write letters to the Board and to its members, City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, Room 244, San Francisco, CA 94102.
