The Board of Supervisors of the City and County of San Francisco met in regular session on the above date with President Tom Ammiano presiding.

An attorney-client privilege confidential letter dated April 7, 2000 was received for Board members concerning this matter.

Supervisor Newsom was excused from voting on this matter by previous action of the Board.(See April 3, 2000 Meeting Minutes.)

Supervisor Yee, seconded by Supervisor Leno, moved to continue consideration to April 17, 2000. The motion FAILED by the following vote:

Supervisor Becerril moved an amendment, seconded by Supervisor Kaufman, which would approve the Director of Public Work’s approval of a minor sidewalk encroachment permit at 955 Green Street with additional conditions imposed upon the permittee by the Board of Supervisors.

After a period of debate, Supervisor Becerril moved substitute amendment toincorporate additional language to the above amendment.Title amended accordingly; City Attorney to prepare legislation.
