The Board of Supervisors of the City and County of San Francisco met in regular session on the above date with President Tom Ammiano presiding.

The meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m. On call of the roll, all members were noted present.

(1) "Office Space" shall mean space within a structure intended or primarily suitable for occupancy by persons or entities which perform for their own benefit or provide to others at that location the following services, either to the general public or to the business community.

(a) professional, banking, insurance, management, consulting, technical, advertising, public relations, computer and data processing services, sales and design services and similar professional services or the office functions of manufacturing and warehouse business;

(b) multimedia (which shall not include movie production or film studios) software development, web design, electronic commerce, research and development, information technology and other computer based technology;

(c) all uses encompassed within the definition of "offices" at Section 219 of this code;

(d) all uses encompassed within the definition of "administrative services" at Section 790.106 or Section 890.106 of this code;

(e) all "business of professional services" as described at Section 790.108 of this code where those services are not provided directly to the public;

(f) all "professional services" as defined at Section 890.108 of this code excepting only those uses which are limited to the Chinatown Mixed Use Districts, and

(g) all business, services, as described at Section 890.111 of this code which are conducted in space designated for office use under the San Francisco Building Code and which are not excluded pursuant to subsection (2) below.

(2) "Office space" shall not include:
