General Assistance grants, Section 20.57.1 to provide that rent free housing shall be valued according to the income-in-kind chart in the California Code of Regulations rather than by fair market value, and by making other amendments to change obsolete language. By Supervisor Ammiano, that letter be sent to City Attorney requesting review and report on whether or not Municipal Railway’s policy to restrict public comments by employees on Muni issues is a violation of San Francisco Administrative Code Section 16.402, which prohibits use or attempted use of official authority or influence to interfere with disclosure of information, civil damages, disciplinary action.
By Supervisor Katz, that City Attorney implement a mandatory training program for all supervisory level City employees regarding the issues of sexual harassment and discrimination, outlining the legal issues and spelling out the appropriate investigatory steps for supervisors and managers to take, in order to identify, investigate and prevent unlawful conduct.
By Supervisor Newsom, that letter of inquiry be sent to Chief of Police to determine the amount of speeding violations on Park Merced Boulevard in the last six months, the possibility of increased police presence or installation of a radar sign on Park Merced Boulevard and the amount of "driving under the influence" arrests that were made on New Year’s Eve in San Francisco.
By Supervisor Newsom, that letter be sent to Director, Department of Parking and Traffic, concerning parking meter accuracy, to inquire what measures the department is taking to insure that customers receive the full time value for their change deposited into parking meters.
