ROLL CALL AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The meeting was called to order at 10:09 a.m. On the call of the roll Supervisors Maxwell, McGoldrick and Sandoval were noted absent.

There was a quorum.

Supervisor Maxwell was noted present at 10:11 a.m.


CLOSED SESSION
Supervisor Ammiano, seconded by Supervisor Dufty, moved to convene in closed session. The motion carried by the following vote:
Ayes: 8 - Alioto-Pier, Ammiano, Daly, Dufty, Elsbernd, Jew, Mirkarimi, Peskin
Absent: 3 - Maxwell, McGoldrick, Sandoval

070486 [[Closed Session - Public Employee Appointment - Clerk of the Board, Legislative Administrator and City Clerk]] Supervisor Peskin
Motion that the Board of Supervisors convene in closed session to discuss the Public Employee Appointment - Clerk of the Board, Legislative Administrator and City Clerk.

This closed session is permitted by Government Code Section 54957, and the San Francisco Administrative Code Section 67.10 (b)
The Board recessed at the hour of 10:10 a.m. to convene in closed session pursuant to the above motion.

Supervisor Mirkarimi, seconded by Supervisor Jew, moved to not disclose. The motion carried by the following vote:

Motion appointing Angela Calvillo as the Clerk of the Board pursuant to Charter section 2.117 as of July 1, 2007. (Board of Supervisors)

Supervisor Dufty, seconded by Supervisor Jew, moved that this Motion be APPROVED. The motion carried by the following vote:

Meeting Procedures
The Board of Supervisors is the Legislative Body of the City and County of San Francisco. The Board considers ordinances and resolutions, most of which have been the subject of hearings before the standing committees of the board at which members of the public are urged to testify. The full Board does not hold a second public hearing on measures which have been heard in committee.
Board procedures do not permit: 1) persons in the audience to vocally express support or opposition to statements by Supervisors or by other persons testifying; 2) ringing and use of cell phones, pagers and similar sound-producing electronic devices, (Violators may be removed from the meeting room.) 3) signs to be brought into the meeting or displayed in the room; and 4)standing in the Legislative Chamber.
Citizens are encouraged to testify at Board hearings and to write letters to the Board and to its members, City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, Room 244, San Francisco, CA 94102.
USING LAPTOP COMPUTERS FOR PRESENTATIONS: Please contact City Hall Media Services at (415) 554-4188 to coordinate the use of laptop computers for presentations at the meeting. Computers to be used are required to be tested in advance. The presenter should arrive 30 minutes prior to the meeting to connect and test their computer.

In order to assist the City's efforts to accommodate persons with severe allergies, environmental illness, multiple chemical sensitivity or related disabilities, attendees at public meetings are reminded that other attendees may be sensitive to perfumes and various other chemical-based scented products.
