NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following vacancies and term expirations (in bold), appointed by the Board of Supervisors:

 

Seat 1, Jean Barish, term expiring April 10, 2017, must be appointed by the District 1 Supervisor, for a two-year term ending April 10, 2019.

 

Seat 2, Robert Bardell, term expiring April 10, 2017, must be appointed by the District 2 Supervisor, for a two-year term ending April 10, 2019.

 

Seat 3, Jason Yee, term expiring April 10, 2017, must be appointed by the District 3 Supervisor, for a two-year term ending April 10, 2019.

 

Vacant Seat 4, succeeding Charles Moody, term expired, must be appointed by the District 4 Supervisor, for a two-year term ending April 10, 2019.

 

Seat 5, Jana Lord, term expiring April 10, 2017, must be appointed by the District 5 Supervisor, for a two-year term ending April 10, 2019.

 

Seat 6, Daniel Pan, term expiring April 10, 2017, must be appointed by the District 6 Supervisor, for a two-year term ending April 10, 2019.

 

Seat 7, D. Peter Gleichenhaus, term expiring April 10, 2017, must be appointed by the District 7 Supervisor, for the unexpired portion of a two-year term ending April 10, 2019.

 

Seat 8, Douglas Hayward, term expiring April 10, 2017, must be appointed by the District 8 Supervisor, for a two-year term ending April 10, 2019.

 

Seat 9, Todd Berman, term expiring April 10, 2017, must be appointed by the District 9 Supervisor, for a two-year term ending April 10, 2019.

 

Seat 10, Howard Hsu, term expiring April 10, 2017, must be appointed by the District 10 Supervisor, for a two-year term ending April 10, 2019.

 

Seat 11, Eric Mersch, term expired, must be appointed by the District 11 Supervisor, for a two-year term ending April 10, 2019.

 

Vacant seat 12, succeeding John Austin, resigned, must represent youth groups who provide services for juveniles involved in alternative programs for graffiti diversion, for a two-year term ending April 10, 2019.

 

Seat 13, Darcy Brown, term expiring April 10, 2017, must be an employee, officer or member who represent nonprofit organizations that provide services related to the City’s beautification and neighborhood cleanup programs, for a two-year term ending April 10, 2019.

 

Seat 14, Dee Dee Workman, term expiring April 10, 2017, must represent business that operates in San Francisco and either seat 14 or 15 must be a property owner, for a two-year term ending April 10, 2019.

 

Seat 15, Daniel Kling, term expiring April 10, 2017, must represent business that operates in San Francisco and either seat 14 or 15 must be a property owner, for a two-year term ending April 10, 2019.

 

Seat 16, Rebecca Delgado Rottman, term expiring April 10, 2017, must be an employee or officer of a private school or art school who operate in San Francisco, for a two-year term ending April 10, 2019.

 

Seat 17, Amy Landgraf, term expiring April 10, 2017, must be an employee or officer of the contracting agency for Municipal Railway shelters, for a two-year term ending April 10, 2019.

 

Seat 18, Gregory Dillon, term expiring March 11, 2018, must be an at-large member of the public, for a two-year term.

 

Additional Qualifications:  Members shall be broadly representative of the ethnic, racial, gender, age, and sexual orientation diversity of the City and County of San Francisco.  Appointing authorities shall appoint persons from varying backgrounds who have demonstrated abilities, skills, or experience with youth or addressing blight in neighborhoods.

 

Report:  The Advisory Board shall prepare and submit a report to the Board of Supervisors and the Mayor every six months on graffiti as it affects neighborhoods and the downtown area of San Francisco, which shall include a review and evaluation of the services and programs in place to respond to graffiti, prevention strategies, recommendations, and plans regarding a consolidated program of public and private efforts.

Goodlett Place, Room 244, San Francisco, CA 94102-4689.  Completed applications should be submitted to the Clerk of the Board.  All applicants must be residents of San Francisco, unless otherwise stated.

 

Next Steps:  Applicants applying for seats 1 through 11 must submit an application directly to the District Supervisor’s office and will be contacted by the staff of the Graffiti Advisory Board once they are appointed.  Applicants applying for seats 12 through 17, who meet minimum qualifications, will be contacted by the Rules Committee Clerk once the Rules Committee Chair determines the date of the hearing.  Members of the Rules Committee will consider the appointment(s) at the meeting, and applicants may be asked to state their qualifications.  The appointment(s) of the individual(s) who are recommended by the Rules Committee will be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors for final approval.
