ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Inaugural Notice
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following vacancies (in bold) and term expirations, appointed by the Board of Supervisors:
James Lance Taylor, seat 1, must be an individual who works for a media outlet that principally serves the African American community, is a storyteller of African American stories, or is a historian with expertise in African American history, for an indefinite term.
Tinisch Hollins, seat 2, must be an individual who has been displaced from San Francisco due to gentrification (residency in San Francisco not required), for an indefinite term.
Eric McDonnell, seat 3, must be an individual with expertise in private equity, venture capital, or fundraising in the financial industry, for an indefinite term.
Amos Brown, seat 4, must be an individual who is 65 years of age or older and who has lived in a predominantly African American community, for an indefinite term.
Omerede ‘Rico’ Hamilton, seat 5, must be an individual who has been incarcerated, for an indefinite term.
Nikcole Cunningham, seat 6, must be an individual who has experienced discrimination in the workplace, for an indefinite term.
Gloria Berry, seat 7, must be an individual who has experienced or is experiencing homelessness, for an indefinite term.
Daniel Landry, seat 8, must be an individual with expertise in the impact ofredevelopment activities in the Fillmore District and the Western Addition on Black communities, for an indefinite term.
Tiffany Walker-Carter, seat 9, must be an individual with experience as a small business owner principally serving the African American community, for an indefinite term.
Gwendolyn Brown, seat 10, must be a person who is employed by or in a leadership position in a charitable, social service, or religious organization principally serving the African-American community, for an indefinite term.
Anietie Ekanem, seat 11, must be a person who works in the technology industry with experience in the field of technological equity, for an indefinite term.
Starr Williams, seat 12, must be a person who is between the ages of 14 and 24, inclusive, with experience working with community groups serving the African American community, for an indefinite term.
Shakeyla O’Cain, seat 13, must be a person representing the sectors served by the Office of Economic and Workforce Development (construction, building and trades, hospitality, and medical sectors) with experience working in predominantly African American communities, for an indefinite term.
Laticia Erving, seat 14, must be an individual with experience as a parent or caregiver of a child or children experiencing barriers to or disparate treatment in education, for an indefinite term.
Yolanda Harris, seat 15, must be an individual who has lived or is currently living in public housing, for an indefinite term.
Report(s): No later than six months after its inaugural meeting, the Committee shall submit to the Board of Supervisors, Mayor, and Human Rights Commission a report summarizing the research, outreach, and other efforts it intends to undertake in support of its preparation of a San Francisco Reparations Plan (the “Plan”). No later than 18 months after its inaugural meeting, the Committee shall submit to the Board of Supervisors a draft Plan. No later than 24 months after its inaugural meeting, the Committee shall submit to the Board of Supervisors a final Plan.
Sunset Date: January 18, 2024, unless the Committee is extended by Ordinance.

Next Steps: Applicants who meet minimum qualifications and are nominated by the District 10 Supervisor will be contacted by the Rules Committee Clerk once the Rules Committee Chair determines the date of the hearing. Members of the Rules Committee will consider the appointment(s) at the meeting and applicant(s) may be asked to state their qualifications. The appointment(s) of the individual(s) who are recommended by the Rules Committee will be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors for final approval.
