Inaugural Notice

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following vacancies and term expirations (in bold), appointed by the Board of Supervisors:

 

Vacant Seat 1, new appointment, must be a representative appointed by the Board of Supervisors of the City and County of San Francisco, for a four-year term expiration date to be determined. 

 

Vacant Seat 2, new appointment, must be a representative appointed by the Board of Supervisors of the City and County of San Francisco, for a four-year term expiration date to be determined. 

 

Prohibition: Members may not have been a member, former member, staff or former staff of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) or the Bay Area Toll Authority (BATA), not been employed by any organization or person that has received or is receiving funding from MTC or BATA and not be a former employee or person who has contracted with any organization or person that has received or is receiving funding from MTC or BATA within one year of having worked for or contracted with that organization or person.

 

Additional Information:  Each representative shall be limited to two terms. 

 

Report:  Annually review the expenditure of funds by the Bay Area Toll Authority (BATA) for projects and programs specified in CA Street and Highway Code, Section 30914.7, and prepared and submit a report to the transportation committee of each house of the Legislature summarizing its findings.  

 

Sunset Date:  None.

Next Steps:  Applicants who meet minimum qualifications will be contacted by the Rules Committee Clerk once the Rules Committee Chair determines the date of the hearing.  Members of the Rules Committee will consider the appointment(s) at the meeting and applicant(s) may be asked to state their qualifications.  The appointment(s) of the individual(s) who are recommended by the Rules Committee will be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors for final approval.
