VACANCY NOTICE

 

CENTRAL MARKET STREET AND TENDERLOIN AREA

CITIZEN’S ADVISORY COMMITTEE

 

Replaces All Previous Notices

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following vacancies and term expirations (in bold), appointed by the Board of Supervisors:

 

Seat 1, Sam Denison, term ending January 31, 2021, must be held either by a person with expertise in job creation or workforce development, or by a person who is a resident of the Central Market Street and Tenderloin Area or adjacent area, for a four-year term.

 

Seat 2, Bryant Duong, term ending November 2, 2019, must be held either by a person who represents a community-based organization or provides direct services to the Central Market Street and Tenderloin Area or adjacent area, or by a person who is a resident of the Central Market Street and Tenderloin Area or adjacent area, for the unexpired portion of a four-year term ending .November 2, 2023.

 

Seat 3, Jonathan Bonato, term ending January 31, 2021, must shall be held either by a person with expertise on homelessness, transitional age youth, or supportive housing, and familiarity with the Central Market Street and Tenderloin Area or adjacent area, or by a person who is a resident of the Central Market Street and Tenderloin Area or adjacent area, for a four-year term.

 

Seat 4, Stephen Tennis, term ending November 2, 2019, must be held by a resident of the Central Market Street and Tenderloin Area or adjacent area with expertise or life experience involving homelessness or affordable housing, for the unexpired portion of a four-year term ending November 2, 2023.

 

Seat 5, Antoinetta Stadlman, term ending November 2, 2019, must be held by a resident of the Central Market Street and Tenderloin Area or adjacent area with expertise or life experience involving homelessness or affordable housing, for the unexpired portion of a four-year term November 2, 2023.

 

 

Prohibitions:  During the twelve months prior to and during a member’s tenure on the Citizen’s Advisory Committee, no member may receive any “gift,” “income” or have any “investment” in any entity that foreseeably may be subject to or be the beneficiary of any Community Benefit Agreement reviewed by the Citizen’s Advisory Committee.   “Income,” “gift,” and “investment” shall have the same meanings as defined under California Government Code, Sections 81000, et seq. (Political Reform Act of 1974).

 

Report:  The Committee shall submit a report to the Board of Supervisors every six months regarding the implementation and execution of the Community Benefit Agreements called for under the Central Market Street and Tenderloin Area Payroll Expense Tax Exclusion.

 

Sunset Date:  January 31, 2021, unless the Board of supervisors extends the term of the CAC.

Next Steps:  Applicants who meet minimum qualifications will be contacted by the Rules Committee Clerk once the Rules Committee Chair determines the date of the hearing.  Members of the Rules Committee will consider the appointment(s) at the meeting and applicant(s) may be asked to state their qualifications.  The appointment(s) of individual(s) who are recommended by the Rules Committee will be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors for final approval.
