On March 27, 2023, Mayor London N. Breed announced a local emergency declaration in response to severe winter storms for the period beginning March 8, 2023. The declaration of a local emergency shall continue to exist until April 26, 2023, but may be extended for an additional 30 days by the Mayor with concurrent of the Board of Supervisors. The declaration may be terminated earlier by either the Mayor or Board of Supervisors.
