Notice hereby given on the following vacancies:
Vacant seat 1, succeeding Roger Kallen, term expired, may be a resident of Supervisorial District 1, appointed by the District 1 Supervisor, must be a resident of San Francisco, use the facilities and services of the San Francisco Public Library System, and library cardholder in good standing, for the unexpired portion of a term ending March 1, 2011.
Vacant seat 2, succeeding Enne Braun, term expired, may be a resident of Supervisorial District 2, appointed by the District 2 Supervisor, must be a resident of San Francisco, use the facilities and services of the San Francisco Public Library System, and library cardholder in good standing, for the unexpired portion of a term ending March 1, 2011.

Vacant seat 11, succeeding Daniel Weaver, term expired, may be a resident of Supervisorial District 11, appointed by the District 11 Supervisor, must be a resident of San Francisco, use the facilities and services of the San Francisco Public Library System, and library cardholder in good standing, for the unexpired portion of a term ending March 1, 2011.
Vacant seat 12, succeeding Theodore Bamberger, term expired, must be member from the community at large, representative of senior citizens, for the unexpired portion of a term ending March 1, 2011.
Vacant seat 13, succeeding Margaret Lee, term expired, must be a member from the community at large, representative of New Americans for whom English is a second language, for the unexpired portion of a term ending March 1, 2011.
Vacant seat 14, succeeding Houston Garcia, term expired, must be a member from the community at large, representative of youth and children who shall be between the ages of thirteen and twenty-three at the time of appointment, for the unexpired portion of a term ending March 1, 2011.
Reports: The Committee shall take minutes of its regular and special meetings and submit copies of Committee-approved minutes to the Board of Supervisors on a quarterly basis. Where the Committee identifies areas that it concludes may require changes or improvements, the Committee shall recommend appropriate action to be taken by the Board of Supervisors. The Committee shall submit to the Board of Supervisors and to the Library Commission a written report, by June 30 of each year, summarizing its findings and recommendations.

Next Steps: Applicants applying for seats 1 through 11 will be contacted by the staff of the Library Citizens Advisory Board once they are appointed by a District Supervisor. Applicants applying for seats 12 through 14 who meet minimum qualifications will be contacted by the Rules Committee Clerk once the Rules Committee Chair determines the date of the hearing. Members of the Rules Committee will consider the appointment(s) at the hearing and applicants may be asked to state their qualifications. The appointment(s) of individual(s) who are recommended by the Rules Committee will be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors for final approval.
