MENTAL HEALTH SF IMPLEMENTATION WORKING GROUP

 

Inaugural Notice

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following seat information and term expirations (in bold), appointed by the Board of Supervisors:

 

Vacant Seat 1, new appointment, shall be held by a person with expertise working on behalf of healthcare workers, appointed by the Board of Supervisors, for a two-year term beginning June 1, 2020, and ending June 1, 2021.

 

Vacant Seat 3, new appointment, shall be held by a person who identifies as having a mental health condition or identifies as having both a mental health condition and substance use condition (“dual diagnosis”), and who has accessed mental health or substance use services in San Francisco, appointed by the Board of Supervisors; for a two-year term beginning June 1, 2020, and ending June 1, 2021.

 

Vacant Seat 6, new appointment, shall be held by a substance use treatment provider with expertise in mental health treatment and harm reduction, appointed by the Board of Supervisors, for a two-year term beginning June 1, 2020, and ending June 1, 2022.

 

Vacant Seat 7, new appointment, shall be held by a mental health or substance use treatment provider with experience working with criminal system-involved patients, appointed by the Board of Supervisors, for a two-year term beginning June 1, 2020, and ending June 1, 2021.

 

Vacant Seat 8, new appointment, shall be held by a psychiatrist or other behavioral health professional with expertise providing services to transitional age youth (ages 18-24) in San Francisco, appointed by the Board of Supervisors, for a two-year term beginning June 1, 2020 and ending June 1, 2022.

 

Vacant Seat 11, new appointment, shall be held by a person with experience providing supportive housing in San Francisco, appointed by the Board of Supervisors, for a two-year term beginning June 1, 2020 and ending June 1, 2021.

 

Sunset Date:  September 1, 2026

Next Steps:  Applicants who meet minimum qualifications will be contacted by the Rules Committee Clerk once the Rules Committee Chair determines the date of the hearing.  Members of the Rules Committee will consider the appointment(s) at the meeting, and applicants may be asked to state their qualifications.  The appointment(s) of the individual(s) who are recommended by the Rules Committee will be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors for final approval.
