VACANCY NOTICE

 

MENTAL HEALTH SF IMPLEMENTATION WORKING GROUP

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following vacancies, upcoming term expirations and information on currently held seats, appointed by the Board of Supervisors:

Seat 1, succeeding Amy Wong, term expiring June 1, 2021, shall be held by a person with expertise working on behalf of healthcare workers, appointed by the Board of Supervisors, for a two-year term ending June 1, 2023.

Seat 3, succeeding Philip Jones, term expiring June 1, 2021, shall be held by a person who identifies as having a mental health condition or identifies as having both a mental health condition and substance use condition (“dual diagnosis”), and who has accessed mental health or substance use services in San Francisco, appointed by the Board of Supervisors; for a two-year term ending June 1, 2023.

Seat 6, Steve Fields, term expiring June 1, 2022, shall be held by a substance use treatment provider with expertise in mental health treatment and harm reduction, appointed by the Board of Supervisors, for a two-year term.

Seat 7, succeeding Andrea Salinas, term expiring June 1, 2021, shall be held by a mental health or substance use treatment provider with experience working with criminal system-involved patients, appointed by the Board of Supervisors, for a two-year term ending June 1, 2023.

Seat 8, Monique LeSarre, term expiring June 1, 2022, shall be held by a psychiatrist or other behavioral health professional with expertise providing services to transitional age youth (ages 18-24) in San Francisco, appointed by the Board of Supervisors, for a two-year term.

Seat 11, succeeding Sara Shortt, term expiring June 1, 2021, shall be held by a person with experience providing supportive housing in San Francisco, appointed by the Board of Supervisors, for a two-year term ending June 1, 2023.

Sunset Date:  September 1, 2026

Next Steps:  Applicants who meet minimum qualifications will be contacted by the Rules Committee Clerk once the Rules Committee Chair determines the date of the hearing.  Members of the Rules Committee will consider the appointment(s) at the meeting, and applicants may be asked to state their qualifications.  The appointment(s) of the individual(s) who are recommended by the Rules Committee will be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors for final approval.
