A Message From The Supervisor:
March is Women's History Month, a special time dedicated to celebrating and highlighting the accomplishments and contributions of women in history. I hope to see you at some of the amazing celebrations and events honoring the women who played a pivotal role in advancing equality and celebrating women's achievements.Â
Â
Last week, the Board of Supervisors unanimously approved my legislation allowing micro trenching methods, a quicker, affordable way to provide high-speed internet service to more San Franciscans.
We know from the COVID-19 pandemic that the areas where high-speed internet was unavailable were predominantly in low—and moderate-income neighborhoods, communities of color, and immigrant communities. This legislation will help improve access to more people, including those communities.
As always, my office is available by email: safaistaff@sfgov.org or by phone 415-554-6975 (leave a message and we will call you back).  Please note - if you miss my weekly newsletter, you may find it later the Board of Supervisor’s website. Click HERE to read past newsletters.

It was so fun reading "I'm Trying to Love Math" to second graders at Guadalupe Elementary School. We had a lively, interactive Read Aloud, discussing how math everywhere around them - it was a joy to see their love for learning and their inquisitive minds. My commitment to ensure that students have access to early screening for learning differences (like dyslexia) remains steadfast. It has been a priority throughout my time in office, and I will continue to work with providers, schools, and families to ensure we are screening early and providing necessary supports for children to succeed in school.
