Free Muni and 2-Hour Parking!

The Chinese New Year Parade is the civic pride of San Francisco, and we want everyone to have access to the parade and be able to join us in celebrating the Year of the Tiger. In partnership with the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, Supervisor Aaron Peskin and Supervisor Dean Preston, we are excited to announce Muni service will be free this weekend all across San Francisco. Free public transit for the weekend is a great opportunity to visit Chinatown!

Funding for Free Muni was possible through legislation I introduced that also includes free 2-hour parking at the Portsmouth Square Garage throughout the month of February. Please note that the garage will be closed on Saturday, February 19, to prepare for the Chinese New Year parade.
