Last week I held a media roundtable with the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) to discuss their proposed redistricting of police station boundaries and the ways for our residents to be involved in shaping our new police district. It is important that the police redistricting process has public input and transparency.
As your District Supervisor, I want to make sure Richmond residents and merchants are aware of the proposed changes and how they can share their feedback Access to our district police station is integral to fostering stronger relationships with community and providing better public safety for all of us. You can watch our conversation here.
According to our City Charter, every 10 years SFPD must conduct a review of the police district boundaries. This analysis adjusts the boundaries in order to maximize the effectiveness of police operations and increase the efficient use of police resources.

We had a wonderful Autumn Moon festival on Saturday, our biggest and best one yet! During the Mid-Autumn festival we gather, celebrate community, give thanks for our “harvest”, share our abundance and of course, mooncake! I loved being out on Clement Street celebrating so much of what makes the Richmond District special, our community partners, small business, and our artists.
