Listening Sessions

Dear Neighbors,

I hope you and yours are staying safe and well. It may be hard to believe, but a month has passed since our public health officials called for a Shelter-in-Place Order.

My team and I have have been working nonstop on this public health crisis. Hours and days are blending together, and many of us don't remember what a weekend is anymore.

But at the center of all our legislative and logistical work is neighbors like you, which is why I am hosting District 9 Listening Sessions.

I want to make sure I take the time to check in with you, personally update you on what I've been working on, and provide you with resources during this difficult time.

But more importantly, I want to hear from you. What do you need from me? What areas do I need to be focusing harder on? Below are the dates and times of the Listening Sessions I will be hosting.

Bernal Heights: Thurs. April 23 at 6pm, Portola: Sat. April 25, at 10am, Mission: Mon. April 27 at 4pm
The District 9 Listening Sessions are broken down by different neighborhoods like Bernal Heights, the Portola, and the Mission, but feel free to join whichever one you can attend.

Most of them will follow the same format, with slight customization for each neighborhood.

We scheduled the sessions during different times to try to accommodate various schedules. All of these Listening Sessions will be conducted via Zoom-- to join, make sure to download the program here.

To prevent "Zoom-bombing," please pre-register for the session you'd like to join. I look forward to hearing from you.

I am also going to be taking part in Manny Yekutiel's Super Civic Cyber Conversations this Thursday, April 16 at 1 PM. It’s important to continue to civically engage during this time. I'll be discussing both District 9 issues and how we are helping all San Francisco residents through this time.
