Supervisor Hillary Ronen - December 2019 Newsletter

Three years ago when I was elected District 9 Supervisor, I made a goal to create 5,000 affordable units in 10 years. Three years into my term, we are well on our way, with 1,329 affordable housing units built, under construction, or in the pipeline. Despite Trump, tariffs, and unprecedented construction costs, there are five cranes overhead in District 9 signaling a bright future for D9.

This is in large part thanks to strong community-based development partners like MEDA (Mission Economic Development Agency), MHDC (Mission Housing Development Corporation), and community activists who fought for revenue and land.

As we head into the holiday season, I'm excited to share my District 9 affordable housing report with you!

To learn more about my efforts, please feel free to get in touch with my office anytime. You can also follow the real-time work of my office via Twitter and Facebook.
