We have an upcoming Budget Town Hall where you can give us your input and priorities as we continue to fight for vital services throughout the community. District 10 Office Updates

• On Marc 27th, I had the opportunity to come and sit with our neighbors from Kansas Street SAFE. It felt amazing to be back at their first in-person meeting to address concerns and talk about the positive changes in the community and the future of District 10.
• On March 31st, we celebrated Cesar Chavez Day by joining ILWU Local 10 at their Cesar Chavez Day breakfast.  It was great to be in community with Labor. !Si se puede!
• On April 1st, we were honored to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Chinese Progressive Association with the original founders! We commend CPASF for their continuing and unfailing efforts to advance worker’s rights, tenant rights, youth organizing, cross-racial solidarity building, and overall advocacy for the Chinese American, Asian American, and immigrant community in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. We honored them with a proclamation signed by the entire Board of Supervisors!
• On April 3rd, we had our first in-person District 10 Budget Town Hall since the pandemic. We hosted community members from across the district at the new Southeast Community Center. We had a good turn out and want to thank everyone who showed up to voice their concerns and priorities. As we are facing a deficit this fiscal year, we will still be fighting to preserve vital services for everyone. Please continue to stay engaged throughout the budget process.
• On April 8th, we attended the 18th annual peace march for War Against Gun Activity (WAGA).  Eighteen years of promoting peace and pushing to end gun violence.  This is what it looks like for the community to come together against violence.  Percy Burch, from our office,  was recognized with an award. We thank him for always showing up and pushing for change. 

• On April 11th, I stood in solidarity with our non-profit and IHSS workers Drive to $25 campaign.  These workers support our most vulnerable populations and allow them to stay home in dignity. This wage increase is not enough to compensate the great work they do but it's a good start.  We see you essential workers and we thank you!
• On April 14th, I had the pleasure of attending the grand opening and dedication of the new Meals on Wheels headquarters; celebrating the opportunity to feed more seniors and people with mobility issues. We want to thank Meals on Wheels for being a vital cog in addressing food insecurity in District 10, the City and the entire Bay Area.

Bayview Hunters Point AB 617 Community Steering Committee

The Bayview Hunters Point/Southeast San Francisco AB 617 Community Emissions Reduction Plan (CERP) is well underway and they're looking for District 10 residents to join the steering committee. We're looking for a representative committee consisting of diverse residents who wish to be part of lessening the impacts of air pollution in BVHP.
